If you need assistance confronting your child and insuring his/her safe admission into our teen drug rehab program, Teensavers has specially trained counselors who will come to your home anywhere, anytime and conduct an Intervention. Interventionists are trained to de-escalate the situation and escort your child safely back to our facility in Southern California.
Intervention is a technique that was originated by Vernon Johnson. Mr. Johnson's original idea was to create a "controlled
crisis" for the addict who was reluctant to enter into treatment. This type of Intervention was then modified to address all crisis situations. Intervention, when conducted by a trained professional is 96% successful in convincing a reluctant teen with drug addiction to enter into drug treatment.
Today there are several variations of the Johnson method. Our staff is trained in the original Johnson method, as well as techniques developed exclusively by our own treatment team.
Intervention breaks through the person's denial by approaching several of his/her defense mechanisms all at once. Removing or short-circuiting the person's defense mechanisms allows the family to present the truth about his/her problem in a calm, rational and loving manner.
Absolutely Not! It is a myth that a child must desire help in order to change or benefit from drug treatment. As a matter of fact, we estimate that 85% of the children admitted to our teen drug rehab do so in denial or under parental duress. Don’t let your child’s behavior deter your decision for treatment. Intervention is a successful tool for influencing your child to enter drug treatment.
We fly anywhere in the world to conduct an Intervention. Upon completion of the Intervention, we will escort your loved one back to Chapman House to insure a safe trip, as well as, to insure a smooth transition into our teen drug rehab program.

He has authored two books and is currently working on a third; dealing with the problems as well as the solutions for the parent(s) who is supporting their adult child due to drugs abuse or emotional problems.

His approach has been implemented in hospitals, clinics and corporations throughout the United States and abroad.
Dr. Tucker is a licensed, board-certified diplomat of the American board of professional Psychology with over thirty years of experience working with children and adolescents who have chemical dependency issues. Dr. tucker is a strong advocate for early diagnosis of learning problems that may affect a child’s ability to succeed in school, and his book “Problem Children: Its Not Always the Parents Fault”, is based on the premise that we need to do more to diagnose and treat learning problems before they become teen drug addiction problems. Dr. Tucker also believes that a child or teen is more likely to maintain their sobriety if these learning issues are addressed appropriately. If they are not addressed, then it is comparable to sending an adult who is attempting to recovery back to a job they hate or a marriage they cannot tolerate. In short, it makes it difficult to remain sober when the rest of your life is horrible.
An affiliate of Chapman House since 1988, Dr Tucker’s psychologist testing and input have been invaluable in helping a number of young people to recover.

Your child resides in a beautiful family style residence during his/her treatment program. Children are under our professional care 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
Your child receives staff supervision at a ratio of not less than (1) one clinical staff member per (3) three children. Multi-bed institutions or “wilderness” style programs simply fail to meet this stringent standard of supervision.
Your child’s care is conducted and supervised by Licensed Professionals. Our Treatment Team includes Physicians, Psychiatrists, Clinical Social Workers, Clinical and Family Psychologists, Certified Substance Abuse Counselors and Facility Supervisors. Our staff members are trained in CPR, First Aid and Rescue Techniques. Our Credentialed Academic Staff includes Credentialed Teachers, Tutors, Student Mentors and Administrators.
We realize that children tend to manipulate the world around them in order to get what they want. That’s why we work diligently to teach your child the real difference between needs and wants. Your child learns to be responsible and how doing so is to their own benefit. In turn, this meets the underlying needs of the entire family.
You can be assured that while your child is in this program, we will address the issues you are concerned about. Our treatment team does not reside in an “ivory tower” dictating all the terms of treatment.
Parents are critical decision makers in the treatment process and are included in the overall plan. Parents are also involved in weekly progress report and family education sessions.
We understand the consequences created by unresolved teenaged issues, and the consequences they could have on your child’s self-esteem and future relationships. We will make a positive difference in your child’s behavior and attitude!
In our Adolescent Drug Rehab Your child will reside in a safe and comfortable residential setting, not an institution. Our setting is designed to provide individualized attention for each child in the program.

We would like to thank you for visiting TeenSavers website. We realize that the decision you and your family are in the process of making can be frightening and overwhelming. Deciding to seek treatment for a loved one with a drug, alcohol, emotional or behavioral challenge is daunting, and choosing the right teen drug rehab program can be even more so.
TeenSavers is dedicated to providing youth with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis/co-occurring disorders, and/or behavioral problems with the highest quality of professional care available.
Please know that we are here to offer you support and guidance, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We would welcome the opportunity to answer any questions you may have about adolescent addiction, teen drug rehab, and our holistic program for youth, or other related matters.
Finding out that a family member has a drug addiction, alcohol problem or behavioral issue can be extremely worrying, but even more so when that family member is an adolescent. Getting the best drug treatment for the teen in question is of paramount importance to those that care for him or her. We have over 25 years of experience in drug rehab treatment, alcoholism treatment and behavioral therapy techniques, providing help, support and effective treatment specifically for troubled teens.
Our focus is to discourage problematic behavior through communication, fun activities and, of course, the most highly effective yet least invasive treatments available today. Positive social interaction in a friendly and unrestrictive atmosphere greatly increases recovery, which is why our teen drug and alcohol rehab center more closely resembles a boarding school, rather than a formal institution.
Our teen drug rehab center addresses adolescent substance abuse problems through understanding, professional knowledge and expertise, with drug treatment that are second to none. Drug abuse among teens has increased over recent years due, in part, to the pop culture’s tendency to idolize drug abusing celebrities. Teen drug abuse is also often the result of a need to escape, an alternative to facing the challenges that life presents. Teensavers offers adolescent drug rehab programs that not only treat the drug abuse itself but also address the behavioral attitude that has led to the substance abuse in the first place, thus resulting in successful drug addiction recovery.
Teen addictions cover more than just drug abuse. Alcoholism in teens is more common today than ever before, due to peer pressure or the desire to escape. Many troubled teens turn to alcohol in order to impress others or simply appear older than they are, without realizing the physical, emotional and psychological consequences this can have. Here at Teensavers, we also offer the very best alcohol addiction treatment for teens, encouraging the ability to deal with life without using alcohol as a crutch or a way out.
Teensavers is specially designed with adolescents in mind, offering a comfortable and friendly environment where qualified professionals will determine the best treatment for your adolescent. We believe the key to a successful recovery from drug or alcohol abuse or behavioral problems is personalized professional attention and positive social interaction, whilst keeping in close regular contact with the adolescent’s family to ensure a positive outcome for all involved.
In addition to serving as an adolescent alcohol and drug treatment center, Teensavers also addresses behavioral and physiological issues, such as anorexia and bulimia nervosa, as we are fully aware that if left untreated, these patterns of behavior can lead to more serious problems. We are fully equipped to deal with bipolar adolescents and teens with particular emotional issues, such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Similarly, Teensavers recognizes the fact that certain problematic behavioral issues may go hand in hand with others, therefore, unlike most drug treatment centers, dual diagnosis is something our professionals are well-trained in making.
