  • George H. Tucker, Ph.D., ABPP
    Consulting Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Tucker is a licensed, board-certified diplomat of the American board of professional Psychology with over thirty years of experience working with children and adolescents who have chemical dependency issues. Dr. tucker is a strong advocate for early diagnosis of learning problems that may affect a child’s ability to succeed in school, and his book “Problem Children: Its Not Always the Parents Fault”, is based on the premise that we need to do more to diagnose and treat learning problems before they become teen drug addiction problems. Dr. Tucker also believes that a child or teen is more likely to maintain their sobriety if these learning issues are addressed appropriately. If they are not addressed, then it is comparable to sending an adult who is attempting to recovery back to a job they hate or a marriage they cannot tolerate. In short, it makes it difficult to remain sober when the rest of your life is horrible.

An affiliate of Chapman House since 1988, Dr Tucker’s psychologist testing and input have been invaluable in helping a number of young people to recover.
